A cubit is the distance from the tips of your fingers to your elbow. On the average person, it is around 500 centimeters.

Now 100cm is one meter.


One meter is a little more than 3feet.


So you are saying that a cubit is from tip of fingers to elbow.

The cubit is based on measuring using ones forearm. It has been used through the Middle Ages up to Modern Times. One palm,(cubit), is about 45cm or 18 inches.
We know that the Jews of Ezekiel's time used the ancient Egyptian cubit as expressed in Ezekiel 40:5. (6 old cubits=3.15 meters)Therefore 6/3.15=1.904761 cubits


would equal 1 meter. It was also measured from the elbow to the middle finger which was approximately 18 inches long.





So take your pick there were different measurements in different times for the cubit but the Jews did use the Egyptian cubit in Ezekiel's time.
