What make-up brands are cruelty-free?

What make-up brands can I wear that are absolutely cruelty-free, ie not just the product but the products ingrediants are not tested on animals? And what brands should I totally steer clear from?

Thanks for your help! What make-up brands are cruelty-free?
';Dermatalogically tested'; does NOT mean cruelty-free.

Beware companies that use the phrase ';this product is not tested on animals';. While the product might not have been, the ingredients WERE.

www.uncaged.co.uk/animaltesting has a good list of companies to AVOID, which include Avon, Body Shop, Boots, Chanel, Clinique and Revlon, amongst many others. They are NOT cruelty-free, whatever they try and make you believe with their cleverly-worded spiel.

www.animalaidshop.org.uk/cosmetics has a good range of make-up as well as household products that are 100% ethical.

www.lush.co.uk do hair dye, shampoo/conditioner, shower gel, lip balm, moisturisers etc. They do not test products or ingredients on animals but people, which is how it should be! However, not all of their products are vegan, some contain honey. What make-up brands are cruelty-free?
I'm assuming you're from the UK since you mentioned Boots ?? I am in the UK so answering this question will be easy for me!

Their make up is vegan and they're an environmentally conscious company. It also helps that their products are relatively cheap, especially compared to UK companies.

Steer clear of all boots products, they're not an ethical company.

i love their mascarra!

www.sephora.com

there are tons of brands to stay away from, but covergirl is the one i ignore most. they are owned by proctor and gamble.
Most Urban Decay and Smashbox cosmetics.

Pangea Organics facial products and bath products.

Pacificia lotion %26amp; solid perfumes.

Desert Essence shampoo, conditioner and lotions.
avon is very nice and good value! also clinique foundation is fab but very very expensive!

most of the highly advertised products are tested!
The body shop make up products are very good. They don't test on animals and only use the best resources in the world.
boots naturals collection is great!

I won't wear makeup that's tested either.

Just have a look on the back and make
