Well, I would recommend that you go to a make-up counter at the mall and have them give you a ';make up lesson'; or a ';makeover';... Usually, it's free, it's fun and you can learn how to put on make-up... Don't be too ';distraught'; at the amount of products the artist uses on you.. Remember they are there to sell... If you have good skin meaning no blemish's or bump or anything you can use very little make-up.. The key products in my opinion are moisturizer, foundation and powder.. If you need it... You may be able to use just a tinted moisturizer.. Eye shadow colors, blush, mascara, eye liner you can buy those at the drugstore or Walmart.. If you like a look and have a camera phone take a picture of the colors that were used for a visual refrence.. My skin fluctuates so I buy my foundation/powder/serum from dept. store. The rest I buy from Target, Walmart etc... I like Physician's Formula it's inexpensive, the compacts are sturdy and I love the powder/blush.. Just go to the mall and have fun with it.. You may not like the first ';artist'; you see so try several different companies.. I prefer Origins.. They use AVEEDA like products that are all natural, I have sensitive skin... Which brings me to my next thing.. If you are planning on wearing make-up it's important that you take it off at night and have a cleansing routine.. Or your face may breakout.. I like Cetaphil cleanser 2x a day with a good moisturizer.. If you have oily skin use some witch hazel it's alcohol free and super cheap just apply with a cotton pad.. I also use a bit of baking soda 2x a week to exfoliate my face... It's cheap and it's gentle... Good luck and I hope this helps..What colour of make up should i use and how do u put make up on?
buy expensive makeup.
if u dont know read in magazines
I would probably go to the mall and get a consultation done, they will tell what colors and how to do them. But you do not have to get all your make-up expensive for it to work. I would suggest getting an expensive foundation and eyeliner b/c those you just can not skimp on. The rest you can get at drug stores that work not quite as well but very good for a lot less.
Whatever you choose, use it sparingly. The modern use of makeup for women began in the 1930s and 40s to make themselves look better in nightclubs where you usually had a low light situation and restaurants where candle light was often the main illumination. That same amount of makeup in daytime situations can make most women look like they're trying to join a mime group. In other words, it looks fake. Don't get sucked into the idea that you have to wear heavy makeup for daily use.
I really think that pastel colors, such as light pink, blue or green would look really good on you, but try to match it with your outfits. If you're wearing darker clothes, then brown make up for your eyes and a light orange lip gloss for the lips. if you're wearing lighter clothes then you should go with the pastel colors for your eyes and pink lip gloss for the lips. And expensive make up is better, if you can afford it :)
are you british? cause I like the way you spell color. Colour
first of all it all depends on your complexion and what style if you going for a natural tone go for colors closer to your skin complexion if your going for a night out thing try mixing it up with very soft purples or blues

use mascara but make sure you dab the very end on a napkin so its clumpy and it goes on easy
eh.............. i dont know..

expensive..works better.
the expensive stuff is better and its expensive for a reason! it works better, lasts longer and isnt as bad for ur skin. if you want to know wat make up to use, go to a department store and get help from the people who work there. they know the products well and are able to find the right shades for you. if your a beginner, i suggest using a brand like revlon first!
